Rosie O’Donnell has revealed that she is in talks to join America’s Got Talent as a judge.
A few days ago, America’s Got Talent judge Howard Stern revealed that he would love Rosie O’Donnell to join him as a judge on the show. O’Donnell responded that she’d definitely consider it.
It looks like things got moving from there. Talking to the New York Observer about her plans for 2013, O’Donnell had this to say: “Next year there are some things on the horizon. I am very interested in doing America’s Got Talent with Howard Stern and I am talking to them. Let’s see how that works.”
O’Donnell also talked about what kind of judge she would end up being if she’s hired: “I think I’d probably be nicer than most but I think I’d be honest. I think he [Stern] is a genius, so to work with him would be a thrill for me.”

Currently, Howard Stern is the only judge signed on for season 8. Stern signed on for America’s Got Talent season 8 a few weeks ago.
O’Donnell would be replacing Sharon Osbourne, who decided to step down after the end of season 7. It was previously rumored that Carmen Electra would replace her. There has been no word on whether or not Howie Mandel will return, but we expect to see him back next year. It would come as a surprise if he doesn’t return.
