The Parent’s Television Council is not happy that Howard Stern is a new judge on America’s Got Talent, and it has asked all 91 of the show’s sponsors to cut ties with the show.

TMZ has obtained a copy of the letter sent to the sponsors from the Parent’s Television Council. The letter tells of their concerns that Stern’s infamous vulgarity will transfer over to AGT. They tell advertisers that “NBC’s decision to add Mr. Stern to AGT will likely result in a sharp increase in explicit content, and we urge you to be mindful when considering a media buy.” They also scoff at Stern’s qualifications as a talent-judge, saying that he’s only an expert at “looking at insecure, naked young women and telling them whether or not they were hot enough to pose for Playboy.”

The PTC has previously had concerns about cancelled NBC shows The Playboy Club and MTV’s Skins, though neither of these shows are the juggernaut that AGT is.

We think this is pretty ridiculous. Obviously NBC knew what they were doing when they hired Stern. It wants AGT to be a family program, and they wouldn’t have brought Stern on if there was any chance of him making explicit comments.
