Simon Cowell has revealed Carmen Electra is his top choice to replace Sharon Osbourne and be a new America’s Got Talent judge.

According to a source within America’s Got Talent, Cowell wanted to add Carmen Electra as a new fourth judge last year, but NBC said no. Producers were looking to add a fourth judge to America’s Got Talent last December. They were looking for a younger, female judge who wouldn’t be afraid of the other judges. Now at age 40, Electra must not have been young enough.

Electra isn’t close to being confirmed for season 8 of AGT, she’s just the number one person on Simon Cowell’s list. Judges Howard Stern and Howie Mandel have yet to be confirmed for season 8 of America’s Got Talent.

The source inside AGT says Howard Stern is waiting until a new judge is hired before deciding whether or not he will return:

Howard very much wants to come back, but he is waiting to see who else is going to be on the panel.

If we had to make a guess, we’d put the chances of Howard Stern returning at about 50% and over 90% for Howie Mandel.

Simon Cowell gave this new information to the New York Post in a new interview.
