The votes have been counted, and your American Idol season 12 winner has been revealed. Do you think American made the right choice?

It’s been a long season with its fair share of controversy surrounding both the contestants and the judges, but at long last, a winner has been announced. The top two girls embraced and whispered to each other as Ryan read the results: The winner of American Idol season 12 is Candice Glover!

Kree Harrison, the soulful country girl from Texas, was the runner-up. Kree thought she was going home last week in place of Angie Miller, so she probably didn’t have very high hopes of winning the whole thing. She looked absolutely thrilled for her friend Candice.

The only words Candice could get out after her victory? “Three years!”, a reference to the past three years she’s spent auditioning for American Idol. Looks like third time’s the charm! Candice cried her way through just about every elimination this season, so it’s no surprise she was a blubbering mess all through her victory performance.
