The newest American Hustle clip has just made its way online.

We’ve been getting some really good looks at American Hustle lately. Just last Wednesday the most recent clip was released. In that clip, Christian Bale and Jeremy Renner smell Jennifer Lawrence’s nails, and they love it. Before that we saw Lawrence blow up a microwave.

Knowing that they can’t spoil every scene that Lawrence is in, the newest clip doesn’t feature her at all. In this clip we get to see the characters portrayed by Christian Bale and Amy Adams meet for the very first time.

Check it out:

All the marketing so far has told us that Adams’ character is drawn to Bale’s not for his looks, but because of the man he is. Now we know where the initial attraction came from. They both are big fans of Duke Ellington, and, in fact, “Jeep’s Blues” is their favorite song.

The first screenings of American Hustle have taken place, and while reviews are currently embargoed, the general consensus based on what we’ve seen on Twitter has been quite positive. While some have called it a masterpiece, others have been merely of the opinion that it’s just a very good film. Either way, we couldn’t be more excited to see it.

Here’s the official plot summary:

A fictional film set in the alluring world of one of the most stunning scandals to rock the States, “American Hustle” tells the story of brilliant con man Irving Rosenfeld (Christian Bale), who along with his equally cunning and seductive British partner Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams) is forced to work for a wild FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Bradley Cooper). DiMaso pushes them into a world of Jersey powerbrokers and mafia that’s as dangerous as it is enchanting. Jeremy Renner is Carmine Polito, the passionate, volatile, New Jersey political operator caught between the con-artists and Feds. Irving’s unpredictable wife Rosalyn (Jennifer Lawrence) could be the one to pull the thread that brings the entire world crashing down. Like David O. Russell’s previous films, “American Hustle” defies genre, hinging on raw emotion, and life and death stakes.

‘American Hustle’ hits theaters December 18
