There is no hiding from the Freak Show nightmares now. The full official trailer for American Horror STory features the first glimpse at Bette and Dot Tattler’s entrance into the fabulous world of Elsa Mars’ Freak Show.

Yes, that was Twisty the Clown you saw at the end of that trailer! We’re getting there!

In the opening scenes of the trailer, we get the voices of Bette and Dot, conjoined twins sharing a body with two heads. As they arrive onto the scene at the heels of Elsa, the other members of the group are hopeful their presence will revive the appeal of their performance. The voice-over alters between the two personalities, one being disinterested in having any part in the show, and the other loving the twinkle of new found fame.

Sarah Paulson is certainly going to be one to watch this season. The visual effects mixed with her ability to pull off two different characters in one body is setting her hot on Tatiana Maslany’s tail!

One person who does not need any encouragement is Dandy Mott (Finn Wittrock), who is fascinated by the sights he catches through his opera glasses. An interesting observation that he catches is Pepper and her… brother?

Jimmy Darling (Evan Peters) lives up to his role as the male pack leader of the group. The familial sense of protection is strongly shining through in his brief moments of dialogue.

One striking feature of the trailer is the setting. Ryan Murphy and the American Horror Story team built the fair from the ground up and their research and work certainly paid off from what we can see so far!

And now, the first look at Twisty! Choosing the classic clown getup and a freakishly over-sized mouth, the first glimpse audiences get of the character was less than climactic. Is it odd to say that mask revealed in the trailer was freakier? With so much anticipation, perhaps his reveal was best left to the series premiere.
