American Horror Story: Freak Show‘s vintage vibe creates stunning cast portraits, but the new details of Twisty and the latest trailers reveal the beauty may be too much to handle.
Grab your blankets, turn the lights on, and lock your doors. The Freak Show is coming to town and Ryan Murphy promises the introduction of this season’s villain, Twist the Clown, will be the most terrifying yet. In an interview with Buzzfeed, Murphy hints, “We said in the writer’s room that if we were going to do clowns, we were going to create the most terrifying clown of all time… The clown’s intro in the first episode is … even I was terrified of it. It’s brutal.” He followed up his remarks by saying that even the members of the crew had nightmares about Twisty.
We already know that Twisty will be wearing a mask that covers the bottom portion of his face. What lurks underneath is a mystery, but Murphy teases further, “When you see why he’s a clown and why he’s wearing the mask…just you wait.” Oh we are waiting, Ryan.
