Check out a new teaser from the show and find out what Jessica Lange has to say about her final season on the show!

American Horror Story: Freak Show released yet another trailer today, dovetailing the latest from the shows veteran star, Jessica Lange. She has played the neighbor, the Asylum guardian, and the Supreme, but it is the Freak Show that lies the closest to her heart. As a photographer, Lange often sought out the unusual traveling sideshow. In fact it was Lange who first brought the subject of a freak show to Murphy’s attention.

She says, “I started kind of looking into freak shows. It is an amazing history and I’ve always been fascinated by a community of people living like gypsies, on the road and traveling from place to place and, in this case, heightened to the degree that they’re all extremely special.”

But as for the horror of the show, that is something that Ryan keeps Jessica at an arms length from. Murphy has confirmed with Lange the fate of Elsa for the series and Lange calls it “brilliant.” But before we reach the end of Elsa Mars’ story, audiences are in for quiet the musical treat.

Lange confirms, “Oh my God! Singing, yes! In the first four episodes, I sing three numbers. Which is nuts!”

One final note about her character is something that Lange has gone out of her way to make sure audiences understand. Elsa Mars has the best intentions in mind for everyone that she brings into her circle of performers.

“I don’t see her as villainous. I see her as delusional, as narcissistic, as ruthless in her ambition. But her ambition is all tied up in her delusion.”

The latest trailer falls into the same category as the rest of the teasers. Not much is revealed, but add a child with a deadpan expression and it will do the job of portraying the creepiness of Freak Show.

American Horror Story: Freak Show premieres Wednesday, October 8 at 10:00 p.m. ET on FX.
