American Horror Story: Freak Show‘s first trailer is here! Read up on all the season 4 scoop and view the teaser trailer here!

UPDATE: The trailer appears to be a (well executed) fake! Looking at the YouTube channel, the uploads of the previous seasons’ promos occur only two months ago and are rather lacking.

What do you think of the fake trailer? Too good to be true?

The first teaser trailer for American Horror Story: Freak Show hit the internet today. The show’s fourth installment will focus on the decaying freak show trade in Jupiter, Fl. The show will follow Jessica Lange’s character as she struggles to keep her band of misfits entertaining to the dwindling crowds, meanwhile chaos breaks out all around her.

Titled, “Fallen Angels,” the trailer shows a young woman, spinning on display, as if in a music box, with massive wings.

‘American Horror Story’ teaser trailer:

Behind the beauty, lies the horror, as a side show clown operates the barbaric wooden planks embedded in her back (and how creepy is that first glimpse at a clown?)

Also on the horizon is the subplot of the, notably cryptic, clown killer.

Returning to the Horror Story this season are veterans Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Emma Roberts, Frances Conroy, Kathy Bates, Denis O’Hare, Gabourey Sidibe, and Jaimie Brewer. No word on the capacity of these character’s involvement in the series has been announced.

New comers Michael Chiklis and Wes Bentley are both involved in story lines with Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett.

The only other sneak peak that viewers have been privy to for season 4, currently filming in New Orleans, is a photo tweeted by Sarah Paulson earlier this summer. Paulson will be playing conjoined twins, Bette and Dot. Paulson jibes, “Two heads are better than one!”

There is plenty more to come as the season picks up pace in production. Check back here for all the latest American Horror Story news, including casting updates, photos, and the remaining teasers!
