Don’t miss out on the first look at the characters for the second season of American Horror Story! Along with new details about each and some interesting plot lines.

Early on, Ryan Murphy talked about how much the second season would be different from the first. For one thing, he decided no ghosts were allowed. So how does he plan on encompassing the horror fans expect? Murphy used his own fears as inspiration!

So what is Murphy afraid of? Well, expect to see aliens, Nazis and of course the nuns! There will also be a serial killer dubbed Bloody Face who dresses in a black nightie paired with opera length gloves. Not to mention a mask he made out of skin!

FX also released new character descriptions along with images!

• Sister Jude (Jessica Lange) is the head nun but is not above trying to tempt her superior Monsignor Timothy O’Hara. Sister Jude is described as being sadistic with a dark past.
• Dr. Thredson (Zachary Quinto) is the asylum’s psychiatrist who’s constantly conflicting with Sister Jude due to his forward way of thinking.
• Dr Arden (James Cromwell) is a sinister doctor who is responsible for the Raspers. The Raspers are a result of experiments the doctor practiced on patients leaving them mutated. They now hide in the forests of the asylum. As if that isn’t enough to make him freaky, he’s also a Nazi!
• Sister Eunice (Lily Rabe) is the second in command to Sister Jude.
• Monsignor Timothy Howard (Joseph Fiennes) is in charge of the nuns but has dark intentions.
• Leo (Adam Levine) and Teresa (Jenna Dewan Tatum) are newlyweds visiting the asylum. And guess who the Bloody Face is after?
• Kit (Evan Peters) is a new inmate accused of murdering his wife. Sister Jude will have her fun by torturing him with shackles and canes.
• Lana (Sarah Paulson) is a lesbian journalist who is committed by her girlfriend after she threatens to expose the asylum.
• Shelley (Chloë Sevigny) is a nymphomaniac committed to the asylum.
