American Assassin, starring Dylan O’Brien as Mitch Rapp, is still in production, but several new images from the film have landed online.

With Teen Wolf season 6 promising to be its last and Maze Runner: The Death Cure picking back up in February following O’Brien’s on-set injury, the actor has quite a lot on his plate already.

Throw in a starring role in American Assassin, which all but guarantees O’Brien as a future big-shot action star, and it’s a wonder the man finds time to sleep.

Speaking of American Assassin, this really is an exciting project for the Stiles Stilinski actor, who may just find that this project will catapult him to stardom in a way that Teen Wolf and Maze Runner couldn’t even dream of.

New images via USA Today shed light on the film, which currently does not have a release date. Check them out, and our thoughts on each one, below:

Taylor Kitsch (center) will be playing a villain in the movie who is “intent on starting a World War in the Middle East.”

Clockwise: Shiva Negar (a Turkish agent), Michael Keaton (Stan Hurley), Nej Adamson, and O’Brien. Negar’s character will be working with Rapp and Hurley, and it’s currently unknown who Adamson is playing. This picture looks like it could be a safe house or a base of operations of some sort.

Keaton’s Stan Hurley is a training officer and Cold War veteran that Mitch must work with in order to stop a terrorist plot involving stolen plutonium. The background indicates this picture might also be of the safe house/headquarters.

USA Today says Rapp and Hurley will have a mutual respect for each other, according to O’Brien.

Sanaa Lathan will be portraying CIA Deputy director Irene Kennedy, who assigns Rapp “to investigate a wave of seemingly random attacks on military and civilian targets.” Here, Rapp is sporting a torn black shirt we see in the final picture, though it doesn’t look like he’s too badly injured.

This image of O’Brien has been floating around for a while now, but it was released with this batch, so we’re including it as well. This one is particularly interesting because Rapp is sporting a pretty hefty beard. Could this be a flashback or could he be undercover?

O’Brien and Negar are in a cafe of some sort, looking past the camera at something or someone. Rapp is wearing the black shirt here that is later cut up.

Michael Cuesta will be directing based off a script by Stephen Schiff. Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Nick Wechsler are producing the film, which is based off the series of books by Vince Flynn.
