AMC’s Interview with the Vampire has found its newest star in Jacob Anderson.

According to Deadline, Game of Thrones vet Jacob Anderson has officially signed on to star in AMC’s upcoming adaptation of Interview with the Vampire.

Based on the beloved novel of the same name by author Anne Rice, the forthcoming series adaptation revolves around a vampire named Louis de Pointe du Lac who tells the story of his life to a reporter.

For his part, Anderson is set to take on the role of Louis in the forthcoming series adaptation. Previously, the role of Louis had been portrayed by Brad Pitt in the 1994 big screen adaptation of Rice’s novel.

Also on board to star in the series adaptation over at AMC is actor Sam Reid.

Reid will take on the role of Lestat de Lioncourt. In the book, it is Louis who seeks out Lestat in the late 1700s when he wishes to die following the passing of his own brother. After Lestat turns Louis, the two become immortal companions.

Behind the camera, AMC has tapped Perry Mason vet Rolin Jones to serve as creator, writer, and showrunner on Interview with the Vampire.

Executive producers on the project include Jones, Mark Johnson, Anne Rice, and Christopher Rice.

The series, which was ordered by the network in June, is set to feature an inaugural series comprised of eight episodes in total.

Currently, Interview with the Vampire is slated to debut both on AMC and streamer, AMC+ sometime next year in 2022.
