Amazon-owned IMDb TV has acquired streaming rights to more than 20 shows, including the exclusive free streaming rights for LOST and Malcolm in the Middle.

In the quest for streamer dominance, streaming services have dropped big bucks to become the exclusive streaming home for many fan-favorite shows. Streaming rights to popular TV series like The Office and Friends have sold for between $400 million to $500 million, so that NBCUniversal-owned Peacock and Warner Media’s HBO Max could boast at being the sole owner of those rights.

However, there’s plenty of TV shows out there, and not all will call one specific streaming service their home, as the recent deal between Amazon-owned IMDb TV and Disney shows.

The Amazon-owned platform recently made a deal with Disney to add more than 20 shows — including LOST, Ally McBeal, and My So-Called Life — to its library, which currently includes such hits and favorites as Friday Night Lights and Fringe.

The ad-supported streamer will become the exclusive free streaming home for LOST and Malcolm in the Middle; however, fan favorites like Desperate Housewives, Ally McBeal, and White Collar will likewise continue to stream ad-free on Hulu.

All 112 episodes of Ally McBeal will be added to IMDb TV on May 1st, with all 151 episodes of Malcolm in the Middle being added on June 1st.

Just in time for the 10th anniversary of its series finale, all 121 episodes of LOST will be added to the streamer on May 1st, which will then become the show’s exclusive streaming home.

IMDb TV is an ad-supported, free-to-stream platform which is available across a range of connected devices and platforms, and comes with your Amazon Prime subscription.
