We’re still a few days out from the Super Bowl, but Amazon has given us a sneak peek into their Big Game ad for their new series, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.

The Super Bowl has always been known to be an event with some of the best commercials of the year. However, in recent years, it’s also become a prime place for movies and TV shows to drop new, extended trailers.

Of course, we live in the internet age now, so trailers tend to break online before the actually air. In that spirit, Amazon has released their Super Bowl ad for their latest Prime Original series, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan. The trailer gives us a better look at what’s in store for the series, as well as John Krasinski’s take on the legendary hero, Jack Ryan.

Jack Ryan is a CIA analyst whose adventures have been captured both in Tom Clancy’s hit novels, but also in blockbuster films like The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, and Clear and Present Danger. Before Krasinski’s turn as the titular hero, Jack Ryan has been played by four different actors, Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck, and Chris Pine.

Jack Krasinski has been taking on more and more action-focused roles since he bid farewell to his desk at Dunder Mifflin when The Office wrapped in 2013. After his work in movies like 13 Hours and the upcoming film A Quiet Place, he’s become quite comfortable with roles well outside of the Jim Halpert “boy next door” trope.

This series is also a big undertaking for Amazon Prime Originals. With previous Jack Ryan stories coming to fans as big-budget action movies, the expectations are high for this series. However, by the looks of the trailer, they’ve definitely managed to translate big-screen action and adventure onto the small screen.
