We’ve known since last Summer that The Amazing Spider-Man would have a sequel, and in a brand new interview, director Marc Webb gives us a hint about where we can find clues about the next villain in The Amazing Spider-Man

Here we go! Director Marc Webb talks about a lot during this interview with CinemaBlend (via CBM) including why he chose Spider-Man as his first post 500 Days of Summer project, but by far the most interesting bit has to do with what he says about where the next film will take us.

For those of you that don’t want to flip through the video, the rundown is that he states that Peter Parker finds out a lot about his parents in the film, and they will have something to do with the next villain. Since we know that Peter’s parents are related to Oscorp, should we expect an Osborne to take up the mantle as the villain?

We know that Irrfan Khan was cast as “Van Atter” in this reboot, which paves the way for the possibility of a Proto-Goblin, but where there’s a Proto Goblin, there’s a Norman Osborne. What do you think? Who will the villain of Amazing Spider-Man 2 be?
