The first full trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has been released. It’s a big one filled with first looks at Harry Osbourn (Dane DeHaan), Electro (Jamie Foxx), and a glimpse of Rhino.
“The more people I try to save, the more enemies I will make,” Spider-Man realizes at the start of the new trailer released by Sony on Thursday morning. “It’s just a matter of time before I face those with more power than I can overcome.”
Though the Green Goblin was on display in a poster earlier this week, it’s the Harry version of the character that appears most in this Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer. “We literally can change the world,” Harry tells the audience. But without the help of Peter, Norman warns.

Other stand out moments include new looks at Gwen Stacy and Aunt May (Emma Stone and Sally Field). For a brief moment we get to see Paul Giamatti as Aleksei Sytsevich who later becomes Rhino.
Interestingly, eagle-eyed viewers on YouTube have noticed what may be a subtle appearance by Shailene Woodley whose Mary Jane character was reportedly cut from the film so her role can be saved for Spider-Man 3. The jacket worn by the character in the picture below and the hair style is the same one Woodley was seen with on set, so either filmmakers are going to surprise us with a Mary Jane appearance after all, or this was an oversight by the trailer editors.

The movie opens in theaters May 2, 2014 and focuses on Peter Parker’s battle against the people of Oscorp. The Amazing Spider-Man will add a third and fourth film in the coming years.
