The latest Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer is nearly three minutes long, with new footage of their highly anticipated sequel starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Jamie Foxx.
Sony has been releasing loads of trailers and clips from The Amazing Spider-Man sequel, along with an official website called Enemies Unite.
It featured a trailer which showed some of the best footage available, as it gives fans an extended look at the Spider-Man sequel and more specifically its villains. Now we have a new extended trailer, which shows some great new shots.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2’s new trailer is chock-full of new footage, mainly focusing on Jamie Foxx as Electro, but also some additional footage of Peter and Gwen together. Watch the new trailer titled “Rise of Electro” below:
While there may have been some question as to who will be the main villain in the Spider-Man sequel, but with this trailer there’s no question that Electro will be filling that role. He looks incredibly powerful as he hovers around New York, sparks flying from his hands.
Dane DeHaan looks like a solid Harry Osborn, with just enough amount of crazy in his eyes to know that he will be transformed into the Green Goblin at some point. We got our first official look of the Green Goblin in an HD poster last week.
Reports suggest that a villain spinoff is in the works at Sony, but we can’t imagine the Green Goblin will be the main focus of any of the sequels. We shouldn’t forget that actor Paul Giamatti plays The Rhino, yet another villain included in the film.
Spider-Man will certainly have his hands full in The Amazing Spider-Man sequel, but Electro looks to be a formidable foe in the latest trailer.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 release date is set for May 2, 2014. Stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone will be returning as Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy, Jamie Foxx (Electro) will also be in the film, along with Sally Fields, Dane DeHaan, Paul Giamatti, and Colm Feore.
