Funnily enough, we learned earlier today that an unexpected hand was at work on the script for The Amazing Spider-Man, and now the film’s sequel (which is already set with a release date despite still being over two months from its opening weekend) has two writers at work.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (Star Trek, Transformers) will take the reigns from Amazing Spider-Man screenwriters Alvin Sargent, Steve Kloves and James Vanderbilt.

James Vanderbilt had already written a draft, and there is no word yet on if they will use his original story or will generate something new. What do you think? What do you want to see in an Amazing Spider-Man sequel? Do you think Sony is counting their chickens too soon?
