Colm Feore’s character in the forthcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has remained a mystery up until now, but new reports are shedding light on the actor’s role. Beware, spoilers ahead.

Comic Book Movie is confirming that Feore is indeed playing spidey villain, “The vulture” in Marc Webb’s follow up to last summer’s The Amazing Spider-Man.

Physical similarities between Feore and the comic book character have had fans speculating for a while now, but this is the first confirmed report we’re seeing.

The vulture, a.k.a. Adrian Toomes, coincidentally (or not) makes his first appearance in comic book issue #2 of The Amazing Spider Man.

This news comes on the heels of some spoiler-alert-prompting photosof Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone from the set of the film.

Diligent comic readers are starting to put plot pieces together and gain insight into Webb’s plans for our high-flying hero.

This brings the villain count for the sequel up to four. So far we have Jamie Foxx as “Electro,” Paul Giamatti as “Rhino,” and Chris Cooper as “Norman Osborne,” who we know becomes “the Green Goblin.”

The inclusion of “The vulture” means Webb is gearing up to put the evil team known as the Sinister Six together.

This motley crew of evil-doers basically forms a “we hate spider-man” club to bring down the hero.

This news also means that two more members of the Sinister Six are on the horizon and more than likely, so is part 3 of Webb’s spidey adventures.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, hits theaters on May 2, 2014.
