An Amazing Spider-Man 2 banner was leaked this past weekend in very low quality, but now we have the official poster in HD featuring The Rhino, Electro, Green Goblin and the new Spider-Man suit.

With The Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer landing online in just two days, Sony has finally released the much talked about “villain banner” which features three villains in the film. Rhino, played by Paul Giamatti, Dane DeHaan as Green Goblin and Jamie Foxx as Electro. Click on the image below to view it in HD:

It’s great to finally get a look at all the villains in the next film, although we believe Electro will be the main villain, with Rhino and Green Goblin coming later in the franchise. We’ll be interested in finding out how they cram all these villains into the second film though.

Check out each villain, we’ve sliced the banner up a bit so readers can get a better look at the new villains. This is our first official look at Green Goblin and Rhino, while we’ve seen Electro.

While we thought that Amazing Spider-Man 4 would simply be another sequel with Peter Parker (and possibly Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane), it was recently reported that it could be the start of something new. We may be looking at a new hero entirely or simply a bevy of new villains being introduced.

Andrew Garfield, the current Spider-Man, is only contracted to do another three Spider-Man films. We wouldn’t be surprised at all to know that Sony is looking even ahead of him starring as the web crawler.

It’s clear that Sony is looking to do what Marvel has done so successfully: create a universe filled with multiple heroes and villains. While Spider-Man is a Marvel character, the rights belong to Sony, along with all the villains that he encounters in the comics.

We’ll be very interested to find out what Sony’s plans are, as it seems they’re incredibly excited about the potential future of Spider-Man spin-offs.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 release date is set for May 2, 2014. Stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone will be returning as Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy, Jamie Foxx (Electro) will also be in the film, along with Sally Fields, Dane DeHaan, Paul Giamatti, and Colm Feore.
