About ‘Alpha Mail’ by Brenda Rothert:

Sienna Mills knows her alpha males.

They brood.
They growl.
They love the word “mine”.

After spending her early twenties in and out of relationships with alphas, Sienna used her knowledge to found Alpha Mail, a booming business that allows women to sign up for emails, letters, and texts from their own brooding, red-blooded man.

Her star is on the rise and Sienna is attracting the interest of investors when a mysterious man starts messaging her about the true nature of an alpha. She’s got it all wrong, he says, and he’s willing to show her how a real man makes women respond.

The more Sienna hears from him, the more aggravated she becomes. Who does this anonymous, supposed alpha think he is, anyway?

And yet…she can’t deny his messages are becoming the best part of her days. Commitment-phobic Sienna finds herself wanting more from her sensei of seduction. But is she willing to trust her heart to an alpha again?

‘Alpha Mail’ by Brenda Rothert review:

As soon as I read an excerpt from this book I just knew that I had to read it, and I was not disappointed. One of my favorite features in a novel is when the characters frequently communicate via text and/or email. Not only does it add an extra special something to the story, but it’s also very relatable.

The fact that this type of communication allows the hero of Alpha Mail to remain anonymous for much of the novel made me love it even more. I couldn’t put this book down until I found out just who the hero was and what was going to happen between him and Sienna.

“My pulse is racing when I finish reading the message. I’m surprised by my reaction. The man who pissed me off with his every word just made me feel…warm inside.”

Now I’m going to attempt to finishing out this review without revealing the surprise of who the hero is while still doing this book justice!

A good chunk of the novel takes place from Sienna’s point of view since the reader doesn’t know who the hero is yet. Even on her own, Sienna is a delightful character to follow. Since she’s had it with guys trying to control her, she focuses on her career, which happens to be about the very type of guys she likes to avoid.

“There’s nothing sexy about being treated like a possession. Having a man lose his shit because another man looked at me isn’t hot. It’s embarrassing.”

According to Sienna alpha males are fun when you want someone to dirty talk to you, but not fun for much else. So she starts her company to connect professional alpha males with clients that want that communication with them without all the messy bits of relationships.

Sienna is also helping out her best friend take care of her son who is dying from a terminal illness. Not only is Sienna a badass boss lady, but she’s also deeply caring and has opened her home to help those closest to her. That does mean that her love life is glaringly empty.

“I really shouldn’t be as open as I’m being with someone who could be, well…anyone, but I’m one of those people who doesn’t hold back. It’s not like I’ve given you my ATM PIN or anything, right? You do know about the color of my lingerie and my affinity for soggy Oreos though.”

Enter the mystery hero who tries to teach her that she’s been dating all the wrong types of alpha males before. It’s equal parts adorable and entertaining to read along as Sienna tries to figure out who her mystery alpha male is. And it does take her some time to get to the bottom of the mystery. But once she does, it’s not an instant happy ending.

Sienna and her alpha male struggle to figure out how to navigate all of the forces that are trying to keep them apart. Including Sienna’s own hang ups about relationships and worries about balancing work, the needs of her best friend, and the new romance.

The wait to see these two finally get their happy ending is totally worth the wait and rollercoaster ride. I absolutely enjoyed Alpha Mail from start to finish and wouldn’t change a thing about it!
