Rocker Alice Cooper, known for “School’s Out,” put his own spin on Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” during a performance at Bonnaroo over the weekend.

Cooper changed some of the lyrics to tell a personal story.

“My mama told me when I was young, we were all born super stars. She rolled my hair and put my lipstick on, and covered up all my scars,” he sang. “To be a freak is not a sin. There’s nothing that they can do,” he added later.

“Called myself Alice, surprised my dad. He just didn’t understand. I wore my makeup, I acted bad, but it was all just part of the plan,” Cooper sang. Watch the performance below!

What do you think of the cover? How does it compare to Madonna’s mashup?
