While we still don’t know why Rosario Dawson left New Mutants, we are excited to see that Alice Braga will take up her role as Dr. Cecilia Reyes.

We may never know the true reason for Rosario Dawson’s departure, and we are sad to see her go, but Alice Braga will be taking over as Dr. Cecilia Reyes in Josh Boone’s spinoff X-Men: The New Mutants.

You may know Braga from her roles in City of God, I Am Legend, or Elysium, or from her leading role in USA’s original series Queen of the South.

She joins Maisie Williams, Charlie Heaton, Henry Zaga, and Anya Taylor-Joy in the new X-Men film which we expect to see hit theaters April 13, 2018.
