Fresh off Netflix’s Gilmore Girls revival, Alexis Bledel is trying to get the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants back together.

When not jettisoning in and out of the Stars Hollow snowglobe as Rory Gilmore, Very Successful Journalist, Alexis Bledel sometimes plays a girl who really likes jeans. A very magical pair of jeans.

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, which came out in 2005, brought together the iconic foursome of Alexis Bledel, Blake Lively, America Ferrera and Amber Tamblyn for the first time, and the union proved so successful, it spawned a sequel in 2008.

Between them, the four girls managed to capture the hearts and souls of a generation of teenage girls, winning us over with their relatable stories and genuine friendship. And, naturally, we’re all still secretly hoping for a threequel.

Apparently, so is Bledel — and the massive success of the Gilmore Girls reunion has inspired her to actively work towards making it happen.

“We would all love to do it,” Bledel told Jimmy Fallon during a recent Tonight Show appearance. “I think it would be so much fun. We talk about it. I think we should absolutely do it. We’re working on it, so we’ll see if it happens.”

The movies are based on the Sisterhood series by Ann Brashares, who has written a total of five novels about the four friends and their shared pair of jeans, so we imagine there’d be be plenty of inspiration to find, should the actresses manage to find time to put this together.

Netflix would certainly be the place to pitch it, considering that it has facilitated a number of reunions (other than Gilmore Girls) including Full House and Wet Hot American Summer.
