It looks like NBC is continuing with its late night rearrangement as rumors are pointing towards 30 Rock star Alec Baldwin to potentially get his own late night talk show!

According to the New York Times, there rumors suggest that the 30 Rock star is in the mix to potentially take over the time slot currently filled by Carson Daly’s show Last Call. An anonymous executive involved with program planning for NBC told the New York Times that Baldwin is being considered.

With Daly currently hosting NBC’s biggest ratings show The Voice, it seems that maybe he’s ready to hand over his talk show gig to someone with some more time on his hands. As many people know, Alec Baldwin just wrapped seven seasons on the critically acclaimed sitcom 30 Rock and also hosts a popular talk show style podcast called “Here’s The Thing” with WNYC radio.

Could Baldwin potentially be filling Jimmy Fallon’s Late Night spot? Speculation started hyping up when it was announced last week that Fallon would be taking over Leno’s spot on The Tonight Show in 2014, with Seth Meyers being the likely host for Fallon’s old spot. But maybe everyone spoke too soon? One thing is certain: NBC loves to keep its talent “in-house,” so a Baldwin takeover would not come as a huge surprise.

Baldwin has a repertoire of successful and memorable late night appearances including several stints hosting Saturday Night Live.
