It has been a while, but Alec Baldwin returned to SNL once more as Donald Trump this week. This time Trump was up against alien foes, while Scarlett Johansson hosted along with musical guest Lorde.

Cold Open with Donald Trump

Scarlett Johansson opening monologue

Scarlett Johansson took some time to talk about her record fifth time hosting SNL. She was joined by cast member Kate McKinnon with whom she recently appeared in a movie. Check out the opening monologue below.

‘Fire Island’/’Cherry Grove’

This week, SNL skillfully played into some gay stereotypes when spoofing the recent trailer for Logo’s new series, Fire Island. Check out the alternate version of Fire Island called “Cherry Grove,” which is an actual area of the real Fire Island known for its lesbian culture.

Shud the mermaid

Kate McKinnon reprieved one of her funnier but lesser-known characters this week as Shud the mermaid: A mermaid who isn’t quite like the other mermaids.

Lorde performs

This week Lorde returned to the music scene performing the songs “Green Light” and “Liability.” Check out her new music below.

Coming up on ‘SNL’
