We couldn’t be happier that Alaric Saltzman has finally made his way to the French Quarter, even if it is only to keep the Mikaelsons out of Mystic Falls.
Now that The Vampire Diaries time has gone, we are totally ready to see our Mystic Falls favorites Alaric Saltzman pop in and out of New Orleans from time to time. The first is one of our ultimate favorites and we can’t wait to see what light he can shed on the horrors of the Hollow and magic in New Orleans.
For those that may be putting off the final episodes of The Vampire Diaries out of denial, desperation, or just absolute detestation of endings, Alaric Saltzman has been involved in the magical world while the Mikaelsons slept for five years, but in a bit of a different way.
He has largely hung up his vampire hunter persona and adopted a Dumbledore-ian affection for educating young witches and warlocks. It is only fitting that when the Mikaelsons find that the Hollow has a magical connection to Mystic Falls, Alaric would be the one to drop everything to keep the Original family from wreaking havoc in the town he holds so dear.
