Actor Alan Rickman appeared on Wednesday night’s episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and had a beef to clear up with Jimmy.

Rickman came on stage with two helium-filled balloons and wanted to get back at Fallon for impersonating him with Benedict Cumberbatch the day after Rickman’s last appearance. Fallon was visibly giddy as Rickman set up his explanation for these balloons and used the opportunity to coax the actor into uttering the names “Harry Potter” and “Severus Snape.”

Watching the deep-toned Snape actor say “Harry Potter” and “Severus Snape” while on helium is a simple way to make us smile from ear to ear.

Rickman also used his appearance to tell the story of Michael Gambon putting a fart sound machine inside Dan Radcliffe’s sleeping bag on the set of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. We’ve heard this story before, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less funny when Rickman tells it over 10 years after the prank happened (via Zap2it):

Below, check out Benedict Cumberbatch’s aforementioned interview in which the actor and Fallon do their best Rickman impressions while reading rap lyrics. We can see why Rickman wanted to get back at Cumberbatch!
