Disney’s Aladdin musical is about to open in Canada before moving to its permanent home on Broadway, and a new behind-the-scenes look shows off the bright team involved.

Aladdin musical director Casey Nicholaw, music writer Alan Menken and Chad Beguelin, and others are seen in this first look which also includes glimpses of Adam Jacobs in the title role of Aladdin, James Monroe Iglehart who will play the Genie, Courtney Reed who is Jasmine, and Jonathan Freeman as Jafar. Other highlights of the video include peeks at the sets and costumes.

The show’s run in Toronto, Canada goes from November 1 to early January. Aladdin is currently scheduled to open previews on Broadway March 20, 2014. Tickets for its New York debut will go on sale this fall, according to the official website.
