AHS season 6 taps Jacob Artist for a role in the upcoming installment, but that’s about all the new information we have at this moment.

The AHS season 6 premiere is just around the corner waiting to finally let the cat out of the bag. Jacob Artist was careful to cover up his script, leaving the space behind that ever-present colon empty.

Artist, another plucked from Ryan Murphy’s pool of actors, joins the mysterious season presumably late in the game as he is just reporting for filming two days out from the premiere.

Jacob Artist adds himself to the list of cast members that are confirmed, rumored, or have their names on IMDb for season 6. They include Kathy Bates, Cuba Gooding Jr., Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Cheyenne Jackson, Dennis O’Hare, and Angela Bassett.

Lady Gaga, of course, is confirmed to return this season as well, and she even brought her new single, “Perfect Illusion” to the AHS promotional material.

The lyrics play well into the mysterious theme of the season. Was all the hype just an illusion? Are we actually going to tune in and see a massacre in the arctic tundra? Or was it a carefully laid out marketing plan dictated by Gaga’s people?

Minus the tundra, I think it was a combination of the above.

Not every single trailer reveals something about the season, but there are strands of similarities if you pay close enough attention. Surgical bays, farms, children, and teeth are present in most, if not all, of the promotions.

There are some popular theories circulating, but at this point, I am happy to just sit back, relax, and let the season begin. After all, remember what happened when we got all excited about a creepy clown — they killed him off after episode 4.
