A hotel run by Lady Gaga may sound like a dream to some people. But the minds behind AHS: Hotel are sure to ruin that fantasy by season’s end. In the latest trailers for AHS‘s fifth installment, check out what is going on behind the closed doors of the Cortez Hotel.

AHS‘s promotional campaigns typically release 11 trailers per season, none of which feature actual footage from the upcoming season. However, it appears that AHS: Hotel is taking a different route. In the first teaser trailer for this season we saw the glove of Lady Gaga’s hand ringing the front desk bell.
The two latest clips appear to reveal a bit more about what the Hotel cast is up to behind closed doors. In the first teaser “Do Not Disturb,” the man with no face bears a resemblance to Finn Wittrock. Could it be a hint at the fate of his character, Tristan Duffy?

The second clip, again, suggests a connection to Lady Gaga’s “The Countess,” Elizabeth. In recent photos that surfaced from a scene shot earlier this week, the finger accessories appear to be part of Gaga’s character’s collection. As the owner of the Hotel Cortez, all the rooms, and the people in them, are at her disposal.
AHS: Hotel episode 1, “Checking In,” premieres Wednesday, October 7 at 10:00 p.m. ET on FX.
