Filming for AHS: Hotel paid a visit to an old set today. Check out the first photo from AHS‘s return to Murder House.

It’s no secret that the AHS franchise will be tying together the Hotel and Murder House installments this season. In the premiere episode, Marcy, the less-than-pleasant real estate agent took Will Drake on a tour of the Hotel Cortez property. Beyond that sale, Hotel will go one step further and return to the actual house that is haunted by the former inhabitants.

Who can we expect to see inside when we revisit the Murder House? Chances are slim for any of the residents from the first season to return since the cars parked out from are a bit dated and the house is in disrepair. With Connie Britton off filming Nashville and Zachary Quinto busy wrapping up Star Trek, expect a flashback to the home’s seedy past.

With over 20 or so murders to choose from it is anyone’s guess as to which one will affect the Hotel‘s story. Since the house is in its run down condition, the flashback will likely take place around the time the twins break into the dilapidated home in the pilot episode which takes place in 1978.

This is not going to be the only connection to past seasons that viewers can expect in the fifth installment. Ryan Murphy has said that viewers can expect to see characters from past seasons enter the Hotel Cortez through out the season, though he has remained tight lipped on which characters need a room for the night.

Watch AHS: Hotel episode 2, “Chutes and Ladders,” tonight at 10:00 p.m. ET on FX.
