The finale of AHS: Freak Show airs this Wednesday on FX. Here are four things we believe will happen in the episode!

AHS: Freak Show‘s finale, appropriately named “Curtain Call,” will bid farewell to Jupiter, Florida and the freaky family we’ve come to know. A lot has changed since we entered the tent in episode one. Twisty, the most hyped clown since Pennywise and Bozo, stayed for only four episodes, leaving behind a villain worse than any clown, Dandy Mott. Elsa, the matronly figure of the troupe, took out everyone in her path before selling off her meal ticket not once, but twice to go after her dreams. Not to mention that nearly half of the cast is dead!

Where does that leave us now? With only one episode to go, here are four things we expect to see in the AHS: Freak Show finale!

1. Elsa’s desire for the camera fades

Hollywood is a harsh town. It’s even harsher for an older star who shows up with nothing but a few flashy outfits and a routine to David Bowie in tow. So where does that leave Miss Elsa Mars? Her classic beauty may get her on film, but judging from the promo, she isn’t hosting her variety hour just yet. She’ll soon realize that top billing is only a guarantee for the woman who runs the show, not the man who decides when and where to put the fading beauty. Expect to see Elsa succumb to the challenges and question whether she made the right choice as her family suffers under Dandy’s reign of terror.

2. Flash forward

In previous seasons, most notably in Asylum, the finale episode of AHS spends some time in the future. This season already has gone into the near future, showing Pepper’s first few days at Briarcliff completing the bridge between Freak Show and Asylum. But what about what lies ahead for the other survivors, assuming at least one person makes it out alive. It would be interesting to see how the story unfolds in light of the disbanding of the freak show and how the freaks fair without the safety of their community.

3. Dandy stains his hands red

As the new owner of the freak show, Dandy’s dream of one day becoming a part of the show is now a reality. While Elsa was not the best caretaker in the world, chances are the group would rather have the murderer of Ethel in charge than Dandy any day. Over the course of the season, Dandy has shown time and again how emotionally charged he can become when things do not go his way. We don’t think he will escape the show without adding at least one more murder to his roster.

4. Jimmy Darling saves the day

Wooden hands and all, Jimmy is coming back. This season has largely focused on Jimmy’s winding journey to be the leader everyone knew he could be. Ethel’s recurring appearance in flashbacks induced by his morphine trips and binge drinking have been laying the ground work for Jimmy’s triumphant return. With Dell gone and the group in the hands of a less than stable ringleader, it is about time for Jimmy to exit the barn and make his way back to the grounds and fight for Ethel, Maggie, Meep, and all those who were lost under his watch.
