What better way to prepare for tonight’s Game of Thrones season finale then to enjoy four interviews with the cast who are talking about wrapping up the season two story?

In this interview with GQ, Jack Gleeson discusses becoming Joffrey:

GQ: Do you worry about repeating villainous clichés?
Jack Gleeson: Definitely. And I think my portrayal of Joffrey is very clichéd. It’s something that’s so easy to slip into because I’ve seen so many villainous characters on TV and onstage and in films. Joffrey is definitely informed by those performances.

GQ: How much of Joffrey was on the page and how much is you?
Jack Gleeson: I have to give all the credit to George R. R. Martin, the writer of the books the show is based on, because the character is so perfectly described and analyzed. I didn’t need to create new characteristics or mannerisms, and the hair, makeup, and costumes helped as well.

With Access Hollywood, Finn Jones talked about creating Loras and Margaery’s relationship:

Finn: Especially now that Renly’s gone, Margaery is someone that Ser Loras can really turn to, and I think it is a very real, loving relationship… As siblings go in the books, [they have] probably the most genuine relationship. There’s no real politics behind their love for each other as siblings… I think they really do respect each other and want the best for each other. I think they also realize that they’re in this world and if they want to survive and… succeed, they have to go into the politics of it.

Also with Access Hollywood, Tom Wlaschiha who plays Jaqen H’ghar had this to say:

I tried to do as little as possible, because I was kind of aware of the dangers in portraying a character who has a weird way of talking, and who looks kind of weird and who has magical abilities…I kind of thought, if I overdo it, then it’d be too much… so I just tried to downplay it and kind of think the things that I’m saying.

I had no idea how it would turn out… I tried to play with Maisie [Williams, who plays Arya] and fortunately that’s worked out really well and I’m really happy with the reactions I’ve been getting.

Finally, Daniel Portman talks filming Blackwater to Access Hollywood:

AccessHollywood.com: You were 19 when you filmed [Blackwater], and this was your first major Hollywood production with an American-style budget. What was it like?

Daniel: It was pretty insane. I’d only [done] one day, I think, before we started on ‘Blackwater’… So, it was insane because we got driven out to this old abandoned quarry and there was a base there and then they had to drive another five minutes down the road to where they’d built this castle for the sake of the production. It was on sort of a small lake of this old abandoned quarry, and the scale of it, to start with, was just incredible, and then as the production went on, the amount of people that were there — it was breathtaking. It was great fun getting thrown in the deep end, but it was mad. Absolutely mad.

Don’t forget that the Game of Thrones season two finale airs tonight at 9 PM ET/PT on HBO!
