A promo, stills, and the episode summary for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 3 have been released, putting the focus on more than one “asset.”
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 3 airs next Tuesday on ABC, and the official episode summary gives us hint at what to expect. The episode, titled “The Asset,” looks like it will be somewhat Skye-centric, as the hacker takes on her first job as a member of Agent Coulson’s new team.
The episode summary says:
When the brilliant scientist Dr. Franklin Hall is kidnapped, Agent Coulson and his S.H.I.E.L.D. agents must race against the clock to locate him. Skye is their only way in — pushing the team to their limits when the entire plan turns upside-down.
Ian Hart will play Dr. Franklin Hall, who may be brilliant, but isn’t smart enough to not get kidnapped. Dr. Hall’s reputation may be familiar to fans well-versed in Marvel comics history – though there is no guarantee that his character arc will follow the same path on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Also guest-starring is David Conrad as Ian Quinn, the rather wolfish-looking fellow hanging out with Skye in the stills from “The Asset” below.
The photos themselves aren not exceptionally revealing about the plot of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 3 – though we do wonder what Skye is dropping into that champagne glass. It’s always cool to see a member of the team break out on his or her own mission though, especially as Skye’s true motives are so murky at this point in the season. How will the potentially disloyal hacker handle her first mission as an official S.H.I.E.L.D. consultant?
