Two new previews promise conflict and ass-kicking when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2 returns.

The mid-season premiere, titled “Aftershocks,” will bring the interminable winter hiatus to a close on March 3. Until that tantalizing time, we can sit in front of our computers and watch the new Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. previews until we’ve memorized them.

Or, you know, check them out casually like normal people.

The first preview, coming from IGN, is an extended version of an earlier promo for the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. mid-season premiere.

Dear ABC, please stop reminding us that Trip is dead. We really, really remember.

Other than that traumatizing image, the preview includes brief glimpses of other beloved badasses.

“Do you know what it’s like to lose control?” Mack demands, as a chillingly confident Simmons fires a gun. A sphere of energy blossoms around someone we haven’t met yet, Bobbi smashes a dude in the face, and then Skye has her meltdown once again.

Another new trailer focuses on the women of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., who will pick up Peggy Carter’s spectacular mantle.

This preview offers a glimmer of hope that the mid-season premiere won’t be all doom and gloom. Team Coulson appears to be enjoying some downtime, as Bobbi and Hunter make kissy-faces, Skye and Simmons sit on couches (which is weirdly normal for them) and Agent May… well, Agent May keeps punching stuff.

The action picks up quickly, of course — whatever goes down in that warehouse/garage place seems pretty important — and we get to revisit the Skyequake with the dark promise of “devastating revelations.”

We suspect that Skye’s responsibility for recent tectonic activity in the area may be the subject of this revelation — but this is Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., so maybe Fitz can fly or something. Stranger things have happened.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2, episode 11, “Aftershocks,” airs on Tuesday, March 3 at 9:00 p.m. on ABC.

What do you think will be revealed when ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ returns?
