Archeology may prove deadly for Coulson’s team as they make for the alien city tonight on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2, episode 9.
Somewhat unnervingly titled “Ye Who Enter Here,” the episode title gives us a hint at what to expect. According to Dante, the words “Abandon hope all ye who enter here,” are inscribed above the entrance to Hell.
The synopsis for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2, episode 9 definitely suggests that darkness looms ahead.
“S.H.I.E.L.D. discovers the ancient city before Hydra,” ABC says, “but uncovering the secrets may require one of Coulson’s team to make the ultimate sacrifice. Meanwhile, May and Skye race to get to Raina before Whitehall takes her.”

“Happy” was in rather short supply on the latest episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. Ward tortured a confession out of his big brother, Christian, then murdered his whole family and joined up with Daniel Whitehall. Whitehall, we learned, only acquired his mysterious youth after ageing and then hacking apart Skye’s ageless mother.

That made Skye’s dad a little angry, and he vowed revenge… but he’s not angry enough to join Coulson, with whom he had a tense standoff over poor Trip’s bleeding body. But Trip’s okay and Mysteryville has been located – so we’re in good shape, right?
