No one is left unchanged when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns from its seemingly-endless hiatus tonight.

The episode, appropriately titled “Aftershocks,” will focus on Team Coulson as they struggle to put the pieces of their shattered group back together.

In case the details have slipped your mind in the long, cold months since December, here’s what happened in the mid-season finale, “What They Become”:

Ward kidnapped Skye and brought her to her dad, who revealed that his name is Cal and Skye’s real name is Daisy. Daniel Whitehall wanted to cut Skye to ribbons, and Cal wanted to do the same thing to Whitehall, but neither of them got the chance to do either because Coulson shot Whitehall first. This was right around the same time that Skye was awesomely shooting Ward, who then got hauled away by the rudderless Agent 33.

Meanwhile, Mack’s body and brain had been rented by the Kree city, so Fitz, Simmons, and Trip were trying to blow the place up. Unfortunately, Raina took the Obelisk/Diviner down to the temple so she could transform into an angel, Skye followed her so she could stop that shit, and Trip both de-set the explosives and followed Skye into the temple to save her from whatever that shit was.

None of the above happened. The Diviner exposed mist-jetting crystals, transforming Skye into the earth-shattering Quake, Raina into something thorny that we don’t understand just yet, and Trip into a pile of rocks.

And then a guy with no eyes pulled out his own Diviner and was like, “More Inhumans! Hurray!” And the audience was left like this:

Suffice to say, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. mid-season premiere has a lot of glass to sweep up. (Basically literally.) Here are a few hints as to what fans can expect to see in “Aftershocks,” and a few previews that are entirely too clever for their own good.

And two tantalizing sneak peeks from the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. mid-season premiere make it clear that life will be shaky among the agents, smashing though they are.

Sorry, look, we just pun when we’re excited.

So what does ABC have to say for themselves about “Aftershocks”?

“Coulson’s team must deal with the consequences of their war with Hydra as shocking revelations threaten to tear them apart,” the network says. Meanwhile, “Hydra makes a dangerous move that may involve a traitor in S.H.I.E.L.D.’s midst.”

Let’s do this.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2, episode 11, “Aftershocks,” airs tonight at 9:00 p.m. on ABC.
