Ghost Rider is coming to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 4, played by Gabriel Luna, and he’s got a scary-sweet new ride.

The revelation of Ghost Rider’s arrival on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 4 came today during the series’ panel at San Diego Comic-Con. After teasing an exciting piece of news throughout the panel, executive producer Jeph Loeb played a sizzle reel which featured a skull emerging from a firestorm, and the words “Vengeance is coming.”

Gabriele Luna will play Roberto “Robbie” Reyes, a new version of the Ghost Rider who will become the character’s incarnation in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A young street racer with an affinity for muscle cars, Robbie’s life transforms into something entirely other when a race goes very badly wrong.

The cast of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. revealed Robbie’s rather spectacular Ghost Rider vehicle at the Marvel booth earlier today.

According to Leob, the ghostly newcomer will “unquestionably” drive Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 4 to its “biggest, most ambitious story yet.”

“It all begins with the introduction of one of our greatest legacy characters in Ghost Rider,” Loeb says. “When the Spirit of Vengeance rides into S.H.I.E.L.D., it’ll change everything.”
