Fans of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will get an exclusive look at Doctor Strange after this week’s episode.

Fittingly, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. 4×06 will be grappling with its own brand of magic as Stephen Strange breaks onto the wider Marvel scene. “The Good Samaritan” will reveal Robbie Reyes’ tragic path to becoming the eerie and eldritch Ghost Rider.

The tale is sure to bend the laws of reality as we know them, which will prime fans perfectly for the sneak peek of Doctor Strange.

Doctor Strange (which is already out in Europe, thanks Marvel!) tells the story of Stephen Strange’s journey from ordinary brilliant neurosurgeon to the dimension-twisting magician who can seriously rock a cape. The film hits US theaters on Nov. 4, and boasts a starry cast that includes Tilda Swinton as the Ancient One, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Karl Mordo, Mads Mikkelsen as Kaecilius, and Benedict Wong as Wong.

Whether or not the events of Doctor Strange directly impact the story of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the magical side of the MCU has already manifested profoundly in Ghost Rider.

“He plays in that world,” showrunner Jed Whedon told Hypable this summer. “It’s not exactly the spy world we live in, but… this is us sort of dipping our toe into [the magical] world as we open things up.”

With ghosts of all kinds afoot in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., dimensions splintering in Doctor Strange, and who-knows-what going down in Thor: Ragnorak, it looks like the Marvel Cinematic Universe is going to be opening up quite widely indeed.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. 4×06, “The Good Samaritan,” airs Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 10:00 p.m. on ABC.
