It’s not easy being Mack
With his unique blend of patience, decisiveness, and snarky wisdom, Alphonso Mackenzie has grown into one of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s most lovable characters. “Watchdogs” offers a closer look at Mack life in and out of S.H.I.E.L.D., and it turns out that he’s hiding real personal issues behind that ridiculously handsome exterior. Between family secrets, the unexpectedly personal costs of his job, and a nickname we’ll never forget, let’s just say that Mack has quite a lot on his plate in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. 3×14.
Lincoln goes for a test run
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s other man of mystery, Lincoln, set his own particular challenge in “Watchdogs.” The “sparkplug’s” evaluation from the Cocoon has come back, and Director Coulson has some serious concerns for Lincoln’s suitability as an agent. His solution? The most awkward adventure with your girlfriend’s surrogate father/boss, like, ever.
May and Simmons seriously bond
Actors Ming-Na and Elizabeth Henstridge have teased the upcoming connection between their characters, but the end result is both different and more emotional than expected. Simmons and May share more than just a few tricks of the spy trade. Instead, both women get the chance to be surprisingly candid, and just might start pushing a gloomy tide in a new direction.
Daisy reveals her dark side… and there are consequences
It’s clear from the preview for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. 3×14 that Daisy is done playing nice with her powers, but she’s not the only one with an axe to grind. Daisy’s opponents in “Watchdogs” have their own particular agenda, and the tech to back it up, which means that Agent Johnson’s power may not be enough to protect the people she drags along in her quest for angry justice.
