Before Mr. Metal comes to town, Team Coulson must tenuously reunite to fight Hydra in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2, episode 19.
The episode, titled “The Dirty Half-Dozen,” will be the first time that the original members of Coulson’s team come together since Ward’s betrayal. And as the preview makes clear, the resulting cooperation will be anything but smooth.
Last week’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was full of similar bumps in the road, when Coulson recruited Ward and Kara to use a brainwashed Bakshi to find Hydra — and Skye. Seeing as Hydra didn’t actually have Skye, this should not have worked.

But ironically, Dr. List tracked Gordon’s power to Milwaukee — where “Daisy Johnson” was easing Cal into his exile from the Inhuman compound. In the end, Lincoln and Mike Peterson were captured by Hydra, Skye and Cal were whipped back to Afterlife by Gordon, Hunter was shot, and Coulson surrendered to Bobbi and Mack.
Oh, and May and Simmons were left positively steaming at the Playground. It’s going to be a really fun reunion.
One of those reunions — Coulson and Gonzales — is the subject of the first sneak peek from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2, episode 19.
The second sneak peek from “The Dirty Half-Dozen” sets up the return of Coulson, May, Skye, Fitz, Simmons, and — eek — Ward to the Bus… and reminds us what an asshole Ward is.
