Team Coulson faces traitors and uncomfortable memories when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2, episode 15 airs on ABC.
The episode, titled “One Door Closes,” will focus on the confrontation between Director Coulson’s version of S.H.I.E.L.D and the S.H.I.E.L.D. that has apparently been operating this whole time under Robert Gonzales.
Gonzales, played by Edward James Olmos, was introduced in last week’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., as his “real S.H.I.E.L.D.” made plans to take out Coulson’s S.H.I.E.L.D. Meanwhile, Coulson left Skye with power-reducing gloves in an isolated safe-cabin, and Fitz blamed Simmons for everything bad that has happened since the dawn of time.
Also, Ward helped Agent 33 get her face semi-fixed by killing people, and then convinced her that she wanted to kidnap and torture Bakshi… which they did.
The first sneak peek from “One Door Closes” shows that Director Coulson is not going to sit on his suspicions about Mack’s loyalties.
The second clip from tonight’s episode offers a glimpse at both the fallout from Mack’s true allegiance and a fascinating flashback to how the other-S.H.I.E.L.D. came to be.
It’s tough to experience the rawness of Hydra’s betrayal again (even though Lucy Lawless is back!) but hopefully we’ll learn something about what makes Robert Gonzales and his other-S.H.I.E.L.D. tick in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2, episode 15. Edward James Olmos has been sly about his character’s goals, but promises that the fallout will be incredible.
Still photos from “One Door Closes” focus exclusively on Olmos as Gonzales as the world crashed down around the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. last April.
The synopsis for tonight’s episode also reminds us that major changes are coming – once again – for poor Skye.
“War comes to Coulson’s doorstep in a way he never anticipated as shocking revelations are brought to light,” ABC says. Meanwhile, “Skye struggles to control her new abilities but will soon make a decision that irrevocably changes her life.”
“Irrevocable changes,” huh? That sounds fun.
