Coulson’s loyal agents find themselves in peril as Mockingbird makes her entrance in the preview and stills for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2, episode 5.

Skye’s mysterious heritage will collide with Agent Simmons’ undercover status when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2, episode 5 airs next week. The episode, titled “A Hen in the Wolf House,” looks like it will continue to ramp up the tension already boiling through the Marvel series’ sophomore season.
The preview for “A Hen in the Wolf House” focuses on Simmons’ increasingly imperiled position within HYDRA, as she crosses paths with head of security Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki.)
The preview also suggests that the ambiguously intentioned Raina will play a pivotal role in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2, episode 5. Between wrangling Skye into her father’s arms, smuggling the Obelisk back to Daniel Whitehall, and somehow arranging Simmons’ hopefully-unfulfilled execution, the mysterious girl in the flower dress will definitely have a lot on her plate.
If she weren’t threatening Simmons, we might actually feel bad for her.
The still photos from “A Hen in the Wolf House” focus on Agent Simmons as her safety net appears to disintegrate. Also featured are Kyle MacLachlan as Skye’s dad and an apparently imperturbable Daniel Whitehall.
The synopsis for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2, episode 5 focuses on Bobbi Morse, whose loyalties remain uncertain. Though a loyal S.H.I.E.L.D. spy in the comics, it appears that the Mockingbird is playing a different role in the TV series – at least for now.
“Coulson’s team is up against the beautiful and deadly Bobbi Morse – Security Chief for Hydra,” ABC reports. “Meanwhile, Skye’s father forces Raina to reunite him with his daughter at any cost.”
Could that cost just not involve Agent Simmons, please? Please?
