A haunting presence finds its way to the Bus in an eerie new preview for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 9.

A new promo has been released for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 9, and it looks like next week’s episode will take the idea of personal demons to a whole new level. The episode, titled “Repairs,” will see Agent Coulson’s team investigating the case of a young woman who claims to be haunted by a sinister force.

As the promo makes clear, whoever (or whatever) is threatening the woman (Laura Seay) turns out to have personal consequences for Coulson’s crew.

Hopefully, Skye still knows where those life rafts are… right?

Still, we have to take a momentary break from our concern for the Bus and its residents to break out in a small chorus of the childhood classic, “The power on the Bus goes down, down, down!”

Too soon? Sorry.

Speaking of soon, the official summary for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 9 gives us another reason to look forward to “Repairs,” promising information on a mysterious agent that can’t come a moment too quickly.

Coulson and his team are haunted by a mysterious force that threatens to destroy them all, and only a secret from May’s past can save them.

Last night’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. showed us (and Agent Ward) another, more helpful side of Melinda May, but we can’t wait to see her step into the show’s spotlight. Though Ming-Na Wen has been a champion at crafting compelling arcs for her character with just the twitch of an eyebrow, it will be fantastic to delve into May’s mysterious history and see what comes out.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 9, “Repairs,” will air on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 8:00 p.m. on ABC.

Who do you think is haunting the crew in ‘Repairs’?
