New information has come to light about the future of Marvel’s new comic book show, including a summary for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 7 and the casting of a new agent.
Though Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is currently on a one-week hiatus, bits and pieces of news have still filtered through the decrypted information feeds. The show’s sixth episode, enigmatically titled “F.Z.Z.T.” will air on Tuesday, Nov. 5, and now the official summary for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 7 has been unveiled.
The summary for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 7 appears to be high on the drama, and also teases the reappearance of another familiar face from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The episode, titled “The Hub,” is described as follows:
Dangerous secrets are being kept from Coulson’s team and he works the system to save Ward and Fitz when they are sent on a Level 8 classified mission that may end in tragedy.
Fitz and Ward take a road trip of death! Sounds exciting! But hopefully not too exciting. (It will probably be too exciting.) We can’t help but wonder what – aside from please-not-dying – the unlikely duo are getting up to in the lofty air of Level 8 clearance.
Maximiliano Hernandez will guest star on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 7 as Agent Jasper Sitwell, who appeared as a be-suited S.H.I.E.L.D. operative in Thor, The Avengers, and the short film Item 47. Titus Welliver, who played Agent Blake in that short, will appear in next week’s episode.
Elsewhere in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, actress Saffron Burrows has reportedly been cast to appear in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Agent Victoria Hand. In the comic book universe, Hand has connections to many powerful players, including Nick Fury, Norman Osborn, and Steve Rogers, and her loyalties are known to shift across lines of heroes and villains.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 6, “F.Z.Z.T.” will air next Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 8:00 p.m. on ABC.
