A new preview for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 6 has arrived, placing beloved characters in unprecedented peril.

Though it will be two long weeks until Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 6 returns to grace our television screens, a preview for what looks like a totally nail-biting episode has been released.

The episode, titled “F.Z.Z.T.,” will follow Agent Coulson’s team as they track a killer who leaves their victims suspended in midair. But judging by the promo below, things quickly get personal as the episode progresses.

Have you caught your breath yet? Okay.

The preview for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 6 is by far the most harrowing we have seen for the fledgling show. Not only does it look like the team will be dealing with a remorseless killer, but the stakes quickly seem to turn personal. For reasons we have yet to identify, it is evident that FitzSimmons become intimately involved in the drama of “F.Z.Z.T.” – and neither of them seem happy about it.

(That might be an understatement.)

Could FitzSimmons’ involvement – and the floating bodies – indicate the return of Dr. Franklin Hall, reborn as Graviton? Or is it merely the mechanics of chance that lands the adorable scientific duo in such desperate waters?

Unfortunately, the official summary for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 6 is painfully coy on the specifics of the team’s troubles.

When floating bodies turn up, Coulson and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D must hunt down an elusive killer. No one is safe — not even the team.

“F.Z.Z.T.” will also see the return of a familiar face to the Marvel universe, as Titus Welliver (of LOST fame) will reprise his role as Agent Blake. Welliver first appeared as Blake in the Marvel one-shot, Item 47.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 6 will return on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Does the new promo for ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ freak you out?
