Still photos have been released for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 6, “F.Z.Z.T.”, previewing an investigation that may separate two members of the team.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 6 will air next Tuesday on ABC, bringing fans back into the fold of Agent Coulson’s team after a one-week hiatus. Judging by the promo, the episode – enigmatically titled “F.Z.Z.T” – will involve the team in a creepy investigation that may have more drastic and personal consequences than previously anticipated.
The majority of the still photos for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 6 seem to be set early on in the episode, as the team begins their investigation of a seemingly-ordinary campsite that clearly holds some grisly findings.

It also looks like Agents Fitz and Simmons will be central to the story of “F.Z.Z.T.” though evidently the plot – and the locked doors of their lab, it seems – will separate them at some point. It will be great to get a closer look at the brilliant pair, especially if Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 6 will put them through a little emotional stress. (Because seriously, how touching is that last shot of the two of them, forlornly sitting back-to-back?)
And though there aren’t any stills of him in the role, we also know that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 6 will include an appearance by Titus Welliver, who played a pivotal role in the mythology of LOST. Welliver will guest star as Agent Blake, the role he originated in the Marvel short film Item 47.
The official summary for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 6 is somewhat oblique about the coming events of “F.Z.Z.T.” but certainly makes it clear that the stakes will be higher than usual in the upcoming episode.
When floating bodies turn up, Coulson and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D must hunt down an elusive killer. No one is safe — not even the team.
