Old friends and enemies return in the preview, clip, and stills for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 20 – but it may not be clear who is which.
Familiar faces will reunite when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 20 airs on April 29. The episode, titled “Nothing Personal,” will feature the long awaited return of Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, as well as J. August Richards as Deathlok and Adrian Pasdar as Colonel Talbot.
The preview for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 20 offers a glimpse of all three returning characters, while suggesting some of the conflicts that they may bring with them.
Colonel Talbot is bringing his guns, Deathlok brings that crazy glass-punching ability, and Maria Hill… well, Hill introduces her insistence that “there is no S.H.I.E.L.D. anymore.”
Say it ain’t so, Maria!
Both Hill and Colonel Talbot make their rather impressive entrances in a new sneak peek from “Nothing Personal.”
In the sneak peek, Glenn Talbot and his forces invade the Providence compound, much to the chagrin of the remaining members of the team. Coulson agrees to speak with Talbot, but Coulson himself is surprised when Maria Hill arrives and declares that she has revealed the location of the compound to the US Special Forces.
The still photos from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 20 reveal a different side of the reunion between Hill and Coulson. The images also offer a grim glimpse of Skye’s new situation – the one where she’s stuck in the Bus with Deathlok and that beautiful betrayer, Agent Ward.
The official synopsis for “Nothing Personal” focuses on Maria Hill’s arrival.
Just when there’s no one left to trust, Agent Maria Hill — from Marvel’s The Avengers and Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Solider — returns to team up with Coulson as S.H.I.E.L.D. is being destroyed around them.
We sure hope that Maria Hill is trustworthy, but given the shocking state of affairs on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. lately, we aren’t taking anything for granted.
