A new sneak peek and still photos from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 14 show the team taking drastic measures to save Skye.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will return next Tuesday night from it’s painful month-long hiatus with an episode that promises to pack more than one serious punch. The episode, titled “T.A.H.I.T.I.,” will focus primarily on the drastic measures which Agent Coulson takes to save Skye’s life, after her near-death at the hands of Ian Quinn.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 14 will also introduce the character of John Garrett, a tough field agent who served as Ward’s supervising officer. A new sneak peek from “T.A.H.I.T.I.” shows Garrett, Ward, Coulson, and Fitz working together to presumably obtain a cure for Skye.
Unfortunately, the guys on the crew seem to be getting themselves into a tight spot. (We’re shocked.) The promotional stills for the episode shed a little light on the status of Team Coulson before Garrett comes onto the scene – and nobody looks very happy.

You can also check out a previously released image of John Garrett, which indicates that Agent May will be involved in the team’s shenanigans at some point in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 14.
But the episode’s intrigue will go beyond mere subterfuge. The official synopsis for “T.A.H.I.T.I.” makes it clear that more than just Skye’s life will be on the line in next week’s episode.
Coulson goes on the attack to save Skye – enlisting the aid of Ward’s former S.O. John Garrett – and uncovers shocking truths about his own life and S.H.I.E.L.D.
Presumably, the title of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 14 is a hint that viewers can look forward to learning more about the exceptionally secret program which brought Agent Coulson back to life. But could this information tell us even more about S.H.I.E.L.D.’s motives, which continually verge closer to the dark side of morally gray?
